  1. Thank you for brought our attention to the character development. We need a bit balance in today's technology and academic demanding world. There are many schools are focus on the academic domain of the education but not the affective domain. The students, especially teenagers need to have social skills to solve personal conflicts. Core virtues such as, the 3 R's and integrity, generosity, and courage are must DO'S in schools.

  2. Students have to learn these skills if we want our students to be global citizens. I appreciate all of the various resources you provided. These are definitely beneficial for each of us in the classroom. There was a great deal of work put into this blog, and it is evident. Thanks Erica!

  3. Creating themes based off of the "other 3 R's" seems easier and more fun to do than off of reading, writing, and arithmetic. I think there are so many ways to teach the original 3 R's through themes of respect, responsibility, and relationships. Most children's books have one of these "other 3 R's" as their themes so why not take advantage of that?! Thanks for your post!
